Yogi Adityanath has issued a clarification regarding the ₹25000 crore MoU signed between the Uttar Pradesh government and a one year old startup, Puch AI. Addressing concerns, he stated that Memorandums of Understanding are non binding in nature and serve only as an initial or preliminary step in the investment process.
He explained that such agreements do not guarantee final implementation and are subject to detailed scrutiny and evaluation of investor proposals. The government will assess various factors before allowing any project to move forward.
The Chief Minister further added that if any investor fails to meet the required standards or expectations, the MoU will be automatically terminated. This ensures that only credible and viable projects are taken ahead for execution.
The clarification aims to address questions around the scale of the proposed investment and the credibility of the startup involved. It also highlights the government’s cautious approach in handling large investment proposals, ensuring accountability and transparency in decision making.
