Rajasthan Brothers Allegedly Bought NEET-UG Paper for ₹30 Lakh, Sold It Further Before Exam

A major controversy has emerged around the NEET-UG 2026 examination after reports claimed that two brothers from Rajasthan allegedly purchased the medical entrance exam paper from a doctor based in Gurugram for nearly ₹30 lakh before the examination was conducted.
According to reports, the deal allegedly took place on April 26, almost a week before the NEET-UG exam held on May 3. Investigators suspect that the leaked paper was then circulated among multiple students and intermediaries, raising serious concerns about the integrity of one of India’s biggest competitive examinations.
Sources claimed that one of the accused brothers allegedly shared the leaked question paper with his son, who had been preparing for the exam in Rajasthan’s coaching hub Sikar. The paper was reportedly further distributed and sold to several aspirants on April 29, creating what officials suspect could be part of a larger organised cheating racket.
The revelations have intensified public anger over recurring paper leak incidents affecting major recruitment and entrance examinations across the country. Authorities are reportedly examining financial transactions, digital evidence, and communication records linked to the accused individuals and possible middlemen involved in the operation.
Education experts and students have expressed concern over the repeated compromise of competitive exams, arguing that such leaks damage merit-based selection and create unfair advantages for those involved in illegal networks. Many students and parents are demanding strict punishment for everyone connected to the alleged scam.
Officials are expected to widen the investigation to identify whether more candidates, coaching operators, or officials were connected to the paper leak chain. Further arrests and questioning may follow as the investigation progresses.
